“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking
we used to create them”

~Albert Einstein

"Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
As we let our own light shine
We give others permission
to do the same."
~Marianne Williamson

                               Invite the Unfamiliar

                                        to Become Familiar

To make a significant changes in your life,

in body, mind, spirit, & relationships,

you must be open to making

                                                              the unfamiliar familiar...

                                                               & the familiar, unfamiliar.

The mind loves to move toward what is known and familiar, what feels "normal" and therefore "safe", while it tends to move away from what is unfamiliar, "abnormal" and what is perceived as uncomfortable or "unsafe".

Whatever that means for you...be it feeling familiar with emotional pain, isolation,

drama, toxic environments, dysfunctional relationships, being at odds with your own body,

thinking frequent negative thoughts, living with habitual stress

and anxiety, depression, or illness...

a great part of the issue may be how familiar and comfortable it is for you,

how "safe" it feels, because you've been programmed and conditioned since childhood to think it's "normal"... so it has become a habit.

Chronic stress, depression, mental fog, physical and mental dis-ease, and the desperate attempts to self-medicate with varying addictive behaviors with drugs, alcohol, sex, social media, games, or TV, have come to be normal parts of modern-day life, while living with ease, peace of mind, good health, energy, positivity, and a sense of inspiration, are less and less normal and often thought to be simply coincidental experiences for a "lucky" few.

Luck, however, has little to do with it. The significance of the mind-body connection,

the correlation between our mental health, the thoughts we think to ourselves, and the pictures we imagine on a regular basis (and the influence it all has on our body, mind, and spirit) are increasingly gaining attention... inspiring greater scientific research

and awareness.

In order to experience what you want most,

in body, mind, & spirit...

you must embrace a practice of making that unfamiliar vision familiar...

imagining yourself feeling & experiencing & enjoying

the possibility of its fulfillment

~

For many, it is more familiar and therefore more comfortable,

to feel unhealthy, inadequate, unconfident, odd or different, unlovable, unhappy,

unfulfilled, to hide, to avoid challenge or standing out, to resist change.

For some, it is unfamiliar to receive genuine love and affection, healthy intimate connection with others, to easily begin new relationships, or to make meaningful relationships last, to speak up for yourself, to set boundaries, to feel confident and lovable, to accept praise and healthy attention, to express who you are and what you value...

or perhaps it's unfamiliar to take care of yourself well by eating a healthy, clean diet,

being physically active, or sleeping enough.

It's often easier to play "victim" to our lives and to suffer because it poses no risk and requires no effort to change. If we are a "victim", we don't have to take responsibility to change our circumstances...we can blame it on others, or on life itself.

Begin to allow a new way of envisioning yourself & your life experience...

Learn to use your fears, your stress, your struggles, your pain, and your negativity

as the fuel you need to move you closer to your desires. The energy and power of your negative thoughts and emotions is exactly what you need to move you

toward the positive life you'd love to live.
